Hey Carrie! Thanks for this wonderful write up! However, I have a one step more difficult situation I’m finding myself in. I lost my unstaged files instead of staged ones. The unstaged files were fresh changes which were [the fresh changes] that weren’t staged/stashed/committed before. Is there a way you know/have read that might help me get them back? I’ve searched around, but everywhere, they say, once unstaged changes are lost to git hard reset, they are lost forever.
