For a context slight off context of the article, I don’t think so. I mean the opposite might be happening at numerous instances. For example, youtube has a really irritating recommendation engine. I see a lot of ted and tedx talks for example. But the moment I see a particular ted talk, I’m flooded with very similar talks, where I might have appreciated variety in the suggestions it gives. I often find myself scrolling through the uploaded videos of ted and tedx youtube channels to be able to see varied topics for ted talks. Sometimes the algorithms and the recommendation engines get so narrow, it’s a different kind of rabbit hole.
